"Our love story is a little different than some because Austin and I grew up knowing each other. We are from the same town and our parents are good friends but because we are five years apart, we never made it past a “hi, how are you?”. But that changed in March of 2015. I was having dinner with my parents in our hometown and Austin was having dinner with his parents at the same restaurant. We had both gone off to college and hadn’t seen each other in a couple years. As the night progressed, we both felt a connection beyond a friendship. We went to different schools at the time and initially spent a lot of time talking and seeing each other as often as we could. By summertime, we were inseparable. We were spending most of our time together and knew this was more than a fling. Austin and I were falling in love. As our relationship grew, we developed a love for music, lake time and skiing. In February of 2019 on a ski trip to Keystone, Austin proposed. That was the second happiest day of my life.
